I just bought a washburn FV-30v flying v guitar. I believe it is from the tour series in 1985. Cream white colored with red binding around the entire body and neck. Looks to be graphite composite neck. Old washburn style hockey stick head stock. 3 blac...

Re: My 5206 needs a neck adjustment :(
Hi Crystal a neck reset is going to be pretty easy to do on yours, so not to worry once you find a good luthier and don't be afraid to ask for references if he's good at what he does he or she won't have a problem with that. And the price can vary from...

Re: identify D-18/N
Welcome to the forum. Your Washburn was built in 1989. The N stands for natural finish, not a sunburst. The D18 model also had a "M" version that was a all Mahogany guitar....

Re: identify D-18/N
Thanks very mucho! All laminated. But 25 years old. The guy wants 150 dollars.
Do you think it has any collectors value in europe?
I can buy a five year old Washburn D10 (not a d10s) for half the price. As some called it the best guitar under 500and ...

Re: identify D-18/N
I would pick the D10, they are a very well made guitar. The other 2 brands, I have never seen, so can not say. A well made all lam, is better than a mediocre solid top. I have owned at least 10 of the D10 types of guitars, so I have some experience...

Thanx Tom

Re: 1915 Washburn Parlor 0
Here some information for you made in around 1907 from the serial number and yep had a different bridge when it was made and is missing a pearl dot that should have been at the 12th fret. Originally had a ebony flattened pyramid bridge with bone or bl...

Re: 1915 Washburn Parlor 0
Makes sense, from what I was able to come up with all Washburn fretboards were Ebony until at least 1920?
It's correct to only have markers on the 5,7,9 though, they didn't add 12 until after 1925 (if I'm not mistaken). If I am, I would love to know mo...

Thank you Ship for the insight. The serial number on my guitar is 3757 style 1115. This is a really great resource.

Re: 1915 Washburn Parlor 0
Couple of observations. As others have noted the bridge and saddle are not original. The current bridge and saddle also appear to be improperly placed. Note the placement of the bridge on Ships guitar. Very clean and symmetrical. The bridge on the...

Re: 1915 Washburn Parlor 0
My luthier will create an ebony flattened pyramid bridge, as this one is totally incorrect and crude. When these repairs are finished, I will post some more pics and record some clips.

Re: Help identify late 70's guitar
By chance what does the label say from that time period could be a Beckmen Washburn which could be a W-600 from the description, check this picture out http://forums.washburn.com/index.php/topic,17370.0.html on this post. ship
